The MIL-STD 461E high performance RF-shielded chamber is designed primarily for radiated emissions testing in accordance with MIL-STD-461DE or prior versions. The chamber can be used for conducted emissions, conducted immunity, radiated emissions, and radiated immunity testing.
Chamber performance is achieved by using Rantec high-performance EMC-24PCL absorber in a Series 81 modular shielded room. EMC-24PCL absorber is specifically designed for MIL-STD testing applications, and meets specified reflectivity requirements.
Standard Configuration
  • Four incandescent corner-mounted light fixtures
  • Six mil polyethelene vapor barrier
  • 3.18 mm (1/8") thick dielectric floor underlay
  • Two waveguide vents, 60.96 cm x 30.48 cm (24" x 12")
  • Two UL-listed 2 x 30 amp, 60 Hz power-line filters; one for lights, one for power to EUT   (wiring and electrical distribution not included)
  • Two connector panels, (6" x 24")
  • Design and fabricate RF-shielded enclosure, interior nominal shield-to-shield   dimensions of 6 m L x 6 m W x 3.7 m H, (20 L x 20' W x 12' H) includes 30 cm (12")   raised floor
  • One pipe penetration
  • Guaranteed performance and a five-year limited warranty; one-year warranty on doors,   filters and moving parts; two year warranty on optional ETS-Lindgren's EMCO brand   equipment
  • One single-leaf, Series 201, recessed contact mechanism (RCM), manually operated,   RF-shielded door, 1.22 m x 2.13 m (4' x 7') clear opening
  • One door maintenance kit
  • 3.18 mm (1/8") vinyl floor tile
  • One threaded brass ground stud 1.27 cm (0.5") diameter x 12.7 cm (5") long
  • Installation of the enclosure and absorber
  • Shield test per MIL-STD-285, one frequency test at 1 GHz
  • Rantec EMC-24PCL pyramidal 24" absorber on the chamber end walls and partial areas   of the ceiling and side walls
