The ETS-Lindgren Model 4320 Shielded Fiber Optic Camera System (CCTV) provides the functionality preferred for EMC test monitoring at an affordable price. The cameras unobtrusive dome provides a low profile while offering maximum viewing capability.
Pan, Tilt, Zoom
Pan, tilt, and zoom functions are integrated and contained in the cameras domed housing. The camera has a 22x optical zoom with a 10x digital zoom for a maximum 220x zoom. (Electronic zoom decreases image resolution). The Pan Tilt Speed is proportional to zoom, resulting in smoother images as motors slow for more precise control during close-ups.
Iris Control
The cameras iris defaults to automatic "best balance" selection. However, the automatic function can be easily deselected for manual adjustment to enhance viewing under less than optimal lighting conditions.
Resolution
Although a color camera, the Model 4320 can be switched to run in black and white mode which increases resolution. Color resolution is 480 x 350 pixels while black and white is 570 x 350 pixels.
Immunity Hardening
The Model 4320 is designed to operate in fields of 20 V/m at frequencies of 80 MHz to 1 GHz, providing ample headroom for 3 and 10 V/m testing. While not recommended, the camera can be operated in higher field strengths, with a fatal threshold occurring at 150 V/m.
Emission Levels
Emission levels from the Model 4320 are a minimum of 15 dB below FCC Class B limits, providing adequate headroom during RE testing.
Low Light Levels
The Model 4320 operates in environments with limited lighting: 1 lux color and .06 lux black and white. This adjustable gamma correction is ideal for bad backlighting conditions.
Patrol Learn
The Patrol Learn function allows the user to "teach" the camera unit a surveillance pattern that can be repeated. For example, the camera can be "taught" to zoom in and sweep over an EUT, zoom out to pan over the chamber, then return again to zoom in on the EUT. This feature is fully programmable in the field.
Tilting
To help with documentation chores, the camera system offers editable tilting for easy identification of test subject matter.
Video Output
Test sequences can be recorded on a VCR using the video output which is optically encoded for NTSC or PAL (specify when ordering).
Alarming
The camera system will audibly alarm 2 ways: if motion detection is enabled or when video synchronization of two or more frames drop out. An open collector alarm output can be used to trigger other devices such as relays, etc.
Fiber Optic Link
Fiber optic lines are used for signal control and video output to prevent interference and reradiation in the chamber.
